Maurice Hawkins is an American professional poker player with over $4.4 million in live tournament cashes and a record 15 World Series of Poker Circuit rings. He won his most recent WSOPC ring at the 2023 WSOPC series at Harrah's Cherokee where he took down the $2,200 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller.
Hawkins�� other big tournament successes include: 4th in the 2015 WPT Borgata Poker Open ($220,258), 6th in the 2017 WSOP $1,500 Monster Stack ($213,591), and 9th in the 2014 WSOP Millionaire Maker ($128,150).
He was also the chip leader going into Day 3 of the 2023 WSOP Main Event.
Hawkins has been the subject of several controversies. Most of these have involved Randy Garcia who sued Hawkins in 2019 for failure to pay out Garcia��s share in a staking agreement. The court awarded Garcia $115,828 in damages.
However, in 2022, Garcia alleged that Hawkins still hadn��t paid the full amount.
